Stygium-Triprismatic Polymer Coating
STPC is a form of RAM, Radar Absorbant Material. It is perhaps the most effective
passive stealth system in the known galaxy, making it nearly impossible to detect emissions
from an object covered in it. However, a ship with STPC covering can still be detected
visually. STPC also renders the ship (or other object) matte black, absorbing most of the
incoming light to the point that it can only be detected at point blank range, and even then
with 20% reduced effciency.
One of the main drawbacks is that STPC requires the use of the very rare and expensive
crystalline mineral Stygium. However, depleted stygium is sufficient for the creation
of STPC, which is why used up stygium crystals are typically recycled for it.
