Assassin-class model CR90b Subaquatic Corvette

The class was designed and put into production since its predecessor, the CR90 Corellian Corvette, did not have sufficient firepower and was vulnerable in battle. The body of this vessel maintains the same general shape as its predecessor, although it has a different exterior design with a different engine array. It maintains eight large and three small engines all in a complete compact section. The Modified Corvette has been seen in use by the Galactic Empire, New Republic and other organizations and groups. The Empire has used this craft in its System Patrol Squadrons and for armed transports.

Model CR90B is the NIF designation for a modified series of Assassin-class Corvettes. They are just as modular and adaptable as the regular model, but this version has been modified for extended underwater operations. Originally the particle shielding was designed for operations down to 1 km depth, but after the Nemesis Found mission to Kamino where the modified Executor-class Nemesis dived underwater and came to rest at the seabed at a depth of 6 km, the series have been further modified for practically unlimited deepwater operations. The hull and weapons have been redesigned to function underwater as well, making this version extensively modified from the original ship. In addition to underwater operations, it is also fully capable of space and atmosperic operations, making this one of, if not the most versatile of all NIF starships, quickly adaptable for any need.
