This Kuat Drive Yards warship was developed and manufactured to help fill the gap in the
Imperial Navy, whenever Imperial-class Star Destroyers were unavailable and smaller ships
were not powerful enough. The basic hull of this craft, which was created from designs
developed by Wilhuff Tarkin himself, was later reused as the platform for the Immobilizer
418 Interdictor-class cruiser by Sienar. This ship is unusual for its size in that it
carries no support fighters. It makes up for this shortcoming by sporting potent point
defences. It is a highly versatile ship, capable of moderate fleet combat,
effective screening duty, and a fine support and patrol ship.
