Codavine Sector

Gall

Current Function:

Firro was the first Core planet obtained by NIF. It is a densely populated temperate world with a well developed infrastructure. It adds many vital resources in population, commerce, industry and science to NIF.

NIF-Developed History:

Imperial military power were overwhelming when NIF came to this system. Diplomatic negotiations with the local governor and the New Republic ensued. With the aid of undercover operations and the effort of our diplomats lead by Grand Admiral Matt, the general populace soon swayed to favour the NIF, overcoming memories of atrocies committed by the Old Empire. The NR foolishly chose to fight when they were about to lose control of the system, and while they attempted dangerous suicidal tactics, they were promptly eliminated. Orbiting Firro is one of the most noticable displays of NIF power; The Firro Exchange, a huge orbital marketplace with tremendous activity. Billions of Credits change owner every day here. It provides a substantial addition to NIF coffers fueling the war effort.

Official Star Wars History:

Gall is the main planet in the Zhar system and the Codavine Sector, home base to the Imperial Enclave which patrols the sector. Like Kile and Kile II, Gall is a moon orbiting the gas giant Zhar. The southern hemisphere of the moon is ravaged by cyclonic storms. The system was important enough to house two Star Destroyers during the height of the New Order.

Kile

Current Function:

Kile is presently the site of a small Imperial Outpost with a mining station.

NIF-Developed History:

Kile was part of an NIF strategic thrust into the Colonies Region. The planet fell with little resistance, and as soon as an treaty was formed, the Imperial Enclave controling the system joined the NIF along with the planet/moon Kile.

Official Star Wars History:

Kile is one of several moons orbiting the gas giant Zhar in the Zhar system. It is a world rich in minerals. Kile orbits close to Zhar and as a result constantly receives electromagnetic interference in the upper atmosphere. This interference helped to hide the Rogue Squadron when it used Kile as a staging base, but it makes the world somewhat difficult to use for mining operations.

Kile II

Current Function:

Kile II has a currently strategic location in the Mid Rim which allows the NIF to cut off the Mid Rim from the south side of the Galaxy.

NIF-Developed History:

A civil war broke out on Kile II as soon as NIF forces arrived in the system, but this wasn't immediately evident. Eventually the NIF managed to sort out the confusion and allow the non-hostile side in the conflict to become part of the NIF. The Imperial Enclave is still ruling the system of Zhar, under NIF federal control.

Official Star Wars History:

Kile II is the sister world of Kile, both moons orbiting the gas giant Zhar. This planet is the site of an Imperial Enclave which governed the Imperial presence in the sector during the Galactic Civil War. Much of the planet is dominated by canyons and huge pits, evidence of intense seismic activity.
