When buying a personal ship takes it's toll.

Octavius was tired of not having a personal ship for his own use. Of course it would be some what costly, but after the mission on Geonosis it taught him the values of having a worthwhile protocol droid and personal vessel to use. Octavius had just landed in the shuttle that he used onboard one of the few ships currently being refitted in 3rd Fleet to make his way to the Exchange. Octavius saw a nearby protocol droid and asked it if he could have a list of all the vendors with a YT-2400 in stock that had modified shielding and armour. A fairly decent list came up, so Octavius asked the droid to narrow it down to reputable vendors only. The list narrowed down to 5 choices, and Octavius then asked the droid to insert some nav points on his datapad for the 5 vendors and his current distance from each one. The datapad took a few moments to calibrate his distance from the vendors, but when it was done it told him he was fairly close to 3 of the 5. With in less than 200 meters from each of the first 3 vendors. Octavius walked away from the protocol droid and made his way toward the first vendor.

It was a cheery old fellow, from Corellia Engineering Corporation. Octavius walked up to the gentleman and asked him if he could view the YT-2400 he had for sale, and see the specs on it. The gentleman pointed towards a dock a bit behind him and there sat a YT-2400 just waiting to be inspected. The man looked at him and motioned for him to go ahead and check it out, also handing him a datapad with the system specs on it. Octavius walked his way through the YT-2400 looking over the control panels and the modifications done to it. All the modifications done were legal, but he referred to the datapad the gentleman gave him to read it over. As he peered down to read it, the display popped up and said:

Octavius smiled, but it didn't have exactly what he needed. He looked at the price they were asking and it came to 13,000 credits. He calmly stepped out of the YT-2400 handed the cheery old gentleman the datapad with the specs back and politely told him no thanks. As he was walking away, he neared the next nav point that was uploaded onto his datapad. He was only 10 meters away and began to make his way over to the area it designated. Just as he arrived, he saw a Verpine tending to his daily modifications of anything he had. Near him was a LE-series repair droid, probably meant to translate for him. Octavius walked up and spoke at the LE-series repair droid and it turned to its master and began translating it to the Verpine. The Verpine then handed a datapad to the droid and the droid said, "My master wishes you to follow me to the YT-2400 you asked him about. He wants me to guide you on a tour of it, also he wanted me to hand you this datapad with the system specs on it." Octavius gladly accepted the datapad and the tour.

Octavius entered the YT-2400 and marveled at it, just as he had the previous one. He went through and checked the condition, the additions, and then checked out the datapad with the specs on it.

Octavius' eyes almost popped out his sockets when he went through the system specs. It was exactly what he needed, and some extra. That extra was probably due to some very nice Verpine tinkering since they all manage to fiddle with things whether it makes it better for the user or not. Octavius then slid his eyes down to the price and saw it was a whopping 20,000 credits. But price wasn't an object here. Then he noticed one small snag, the YT-2400 needed 2 people to man it. Just then Octavius had an idea, as he walked up towards the verpine. "I'll take the YT-2400 and your LE-series repair droid for 30,000 credits." The droid then turned to his master and nervously began to tell him the offer. Then to the droids great dismay, the verpine agree to the terms and released the droid and YT-2400 to his custody.
